Meet Our Pigs

Angel's Acres is home to three adult pot bellied pigs, who live in aptly named Piggy Land which is located behind the main barn between Goat Town and Quacker Ranch.  The pigs like to stay cool in the shade, so you may not always see them out in the hotter months, but they are known to be partial to certain treats and can be coaxed out to greet our visitors now and then, or you may just see them splashing and rolling in a nice cool muddy puddle!   They are all very sweet and love to be petted as well.  They are close friends with many of the chickens who often find their way into Piggy Land to hang out here and there.   The pigs have their indoor pens in the main barn, across from the horse pens, and also have two outdoor lean tos where they can enjoy the shade.

Each of the pigs has their own unique story, which you can read more about on their individual sponsorship pages, linked below their names and photos.  They have all been rescued from situations where they were not receiving the care, shelter and food they needed and some have faced abuse and neglect that has left them with long term issues.  However, they are all quite happy here at the sanctuary and are receiving the best care from our staff and volunteers. We hope you will come out and meet them soon!

If you are fond of a particular pig or would like to help them all out by financially contributing the cost of caring for them, you can choose to sponsor them by clicking on the button below, or following the individual links below each animal's name and photo.  They would be very grateful for your support!

Stories of Hope

Give A Pig The Peace They Deserve

We are very excited to finally offer the ability for our visitors and supporters to sponsor our animals here at Angel's Acres!  By sponsoring, not only are you creating a special connection with that animal, but you are becoming an amazing PARTNER in the work we do here at our sanctuary!  Sponsorships help ensure all of the animals receive the very best care and help us further our mission of rescuing and rehabilitating as many animals as we can.
