Our volunteers are simply amazing and we make sure they know it! Everyone who works on the weekends are provided with beverages and a meal from our concession stand. We hold regular volunteer meetings where we value your input and working together to make Angels Acres a great place. Throughout the year we have small appreciate events and annually, after putting on our annual benefit festival, we have a big appreciation/celebration event for our volunteers and their families.

Volunteer Opportunities
Animal Caregiver
Provide companionship, feed, groom, clean stalls, etc.
Gift Shop Attendant
Run checkout, maintain shop and light cleaning duties
Facility Maintenance
General repair tasks and physical labor as needed for facilities & property
Concession Stand
Prepare and serve food, run checkout, moderate cleaning duties
Event Volunteer
Help with setup & teardown, distribute flyers, assist with activities, etc.
Tour Guide
Guide visitors and share information on our mission and animal residents
Social Media Asstnt.
Remote opportunity, assist with creation and posting on social media channels
Fundraising Assistant
Remote opportunity; a variety of tasks with donor relations & grant writing

Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Sunday 12 pm - 4 pm

*Most of our events are on weekends, some are during the day and some are in the evenings. We do have occasional weekday events as well.

We are required to collect this information if you are under the age of 16. Please note that volunteers under age 14 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian at ALL times. Volunteers between the ages of 14 - 16 may volunteer alone for up to 4 hours at a time.

My Task Preferences
Please let us know what kinds of things you would like to do as a volunteer.
If you are applying to volunteer in animal care, please understand that they need care in all seasons even when we are not open. Forming a bond with our animals is a meaningful experience for you and the animals as well, and we ask that you make a minimum committment of 3 hours per week. If you are unable to make that sort of committment, you may be asked to work on non animal care tasks.
My Experience
Please tell us about any previous volunteer experience you have. For example if you are wanting to work with the animals, what experience you have in that area. This can be volunteer or work or personal experience.
Background Check Process & Fee Notice
To help ensure a safe environment for our animals, visitors, and volunteers, Angels Acres Farm Animal Sanctuary requires all new volunteers to complete a one-time background screening. The $9 screening fee is paid directly to our secure third-party provider and covers the actual cost of the check. This helps us keep donations focused on animal care and sanctuary improvements. Background checks are processed after we conduct an interview with the prospective volunteeer.
If the fee presents a hardship, please reach out to us at info@angelsacres.org — we never want cost to prevent anyone from volunteering.
